Bit of a painting frenzy today, both at home on my Cyriss and at 4tkgamings open day... 4 rounds of speed painting with 3 atrocious marines and a unique high elf were a great laugh to do. Jacob had a great time smashing the forces of chaos in an apocalypse mega battle haha
This is the first of many wargods models that will be arriving later in the year. I picked it up cheap on ebay, and as it doesn't come in the Eaters starter set its a viable purchase if I chose to do an undead army as my Aegyptus force.
I have Olympus and Hyperborea armies coming from the KS, roughly 1000pts of each so will probably add the 3rd army at the same points level. This is also the proposed size of games for a tourney being organised by UK backers to take place at Wargames Foundry in Nottingham in early 2014.
My good friend Tom Pugh at Cymbeline Games has asked me to paint up some of the KoW kickstarter freebies for his displays at show as and when I get chance to between my own works. This is the first of them, the Vampire Countess from the forthcoming Kings & Legends supplement:
Work has begun on my Convergence of Cyriss army, these are the first of many:
Galvaniser - Light Vector
Mitigator - Light Vector
Forge Master Syntherion - Warcaster
I have three heavy vectors built and undercoated ready to start on tonight. I have Aurora and three units of clockwork angels coming in two weeks, then Axis and some accretion servitors in the first week of august.... the colossal is a purchase too far for the moment!
Apologies for the lack of updates, ive been sunning myself in Italy with the fiancé and her friends for a few days... couldn't take any toys with me to paint!
I kept up to date with the goings on of the KS and was over the moon to see the final result of $147,194, a smashing total that let most of the games models be put into production early on with 7 factions including the titans funded, along with numerous support creatures and heroes.
Im still torn between the Amazons and Trojans, I can go for one large army or two smaller ones to allow me to start demoing the game to my mates from November... but I really fancy getting some of these charlies too:
The Wendigos of Hyperborea look badass, and will really stand out from the ranked units of my Olympus force.
