40K: Squat Warriors

 Next up for 2nd ed is a squat of Squat Warriors from Ontos Games!

The original squad from the range, and the models that drew me to the idea of some retro 40k gaming!

40K: Squat Warlord and Hearthguard

 Over the last week or so ive been building and printing my Squat army... and now finally I have the first unit done:

I really liked the Ontos Games scheme so decided to use that as my base! Now on to some warriors!

40K: Rogue Trader Chaos Dreadnought

 Continuing with the theme of Dreadnoughts, here is a modern reimaging of the classic Chaos Dreadnought:

Going for an Emperor's Children look to my chaos army but in the old skool style rather than like my existing Flawless Host.

Warmachine: Captain Eira Mackay

 She's been on the paint desk for a few weeks, worked on in dribs n drabs!

Thats the last of what I have printed, I'll get round to some of the flying troops and 40mm base stuff in due course.

40K: Rogue Trader Dreadnoughts

 Myself and a few of the club chaps have decided to go down the nostalgia route and put together some armies for 40k 2nd edition hehe.

Ive picked up some awesome squats that i will be posting soon but decided to start by printing some very retro dreadnoughts from Rogue Trader as I never owned the originals as a kid!

Warmachine: Commandos

 My second unit of Commandos is now finished:

Thats me all complete and ready for Lock n Load next weekend in Sheffield, pigz ftw 🐖

Warmachine: Moar Chainbelchers!

My second unit of these bad boys are now completed:

Largely the same scheme as before but with different coloured jack parts; this time ive put in menoth, cryx and 5th border legion khador 🤘

Warmachine: Farrow Chainbelchers

 First unit of our awesome new cavalry unit painted up:

Absolutely superb models and will hopefully be rocking the tabletops at the club in the near future!

Warmachine: Farrow Commandos

 Closing in on Lock n Load so its time to pick an army and get it sorted! With that in mind I think I have enough time to get April and Mays Thornfall releases done:

Ive a 2nd unit of these Commandos on the go and two units of the fantastic new Chainbelcher cavalry.

I had sold up before the plastic brigand/commando kit came out so never owned any back in the day... Nice to give them a run out at last.

Warmachine: Vulcan

 This has been on and off the paint station for most of April but its finally done!

Looking forward to giving the big lad a run out soon hehe, glad the Crucible Guard are done for now as im a bit behind on printing piggies!

Warmachine: Efaarit Scouts

 Back to the Thornfall with a couple of Efarrit Scouts today:

Its 75pts in our journeyman league so i desperately needed some more solos for flag camping... solos with long ranged guns most importantly!

Warmachine: Prospero and Retaliator

 Forgot to post Prospero during the week and printed a Retaliator whilst still working on the Vulcan:

Warmachine: Railless Interceptor

 Choo choo! 

Finished off my Railless Interceptor that ive been working on for most of the week:

Its been a slog but im glad its done and im happy with how its come out!

Warmachine: Alyce Marc

 As the holiday draws to a close I had time for one last addition to the army after some much needed gardening, with Alyce Marc and her alter ego Big Alyce:

Alyce is the warcaster attachment in the faction and also a surprisingly good beatstick when she transforms!

Warmachine: Crucible Guard Infantry

On a bit of a roll at the mo, here's my unit of Crucible Guard Infantry completed:

The basic guys in the army, they bring some long range guns that I can add fire or corrosion to to activate abilities on other units hehe.

Warmachine: Combat Alchemists

 Some support units for the army now with these Combat Alchemists:

They can hand out magic, fire and poison to friendly units and have a reasonable ranged attack too... backfield objective campers!

Warmachine: Dragon's Breath Rocket Batteries

 Some heavy weapons and debuff tools with this pair of Dragon's Breath Rockets:

Some long range attacks and the perfect solos to camp on the flags in scenario play hehe.

Warmachine: Ascendant Mentalist

 Another quick addition to the guard with this Ascendant Mentalist:

A fine support solo, she will be parked behind my Vulcan bumping its armour up haha.

Warmachine: Bonegrinders

 After some sterling work by my existing  units at a tournament last week ive printed and painted two more to go to max FA:

Next months goodies have been reviewed so will be getting Commandos and Effarit Scouts ready as soon as they are available!

Warmachine: Syvestro and Lukas Di Morray

Two of my warcasters today with Aurum Syvestro and Aurum Lukas Di Morray:

Both superb models to paint up! Next on the paint station will be the new character unit, The Triumverate, I need to get all the Crucible Guard finished off before I can get on to the Grymkin/Infernals/Convergence from the Frontier campaign!

I think i will be pretty much painting just warmachine for the entire year haha.

Warmachine: Vindicator and Suppressor

 Two more Jack's for the Crucible Guard today with a Vindicator and Suppressor:

Im not sure how much use i will get out of these two as they are a bit niche in their utility but they are cool models!

Warmachine: Apollo

After finishing March's pigz it was time to get back to the Crucible Guard so I decided to get Apollo painted up:

The new character jack from the command starter, rather awkward to photo tho haha! It will be a boon to just about all the casters with the various buffs and debuffs it can apply.

Warmachine: Thornfall Alliance Light Beasts

More piggies today with these four Light Beasts:

A Battle Boar, a Splatter Boar and two Gunboars to bring me back up to fully painted for the faction.

Warmachine: Dr Arkadius!

The good Dr is in the house!

My third Dr Arkadius haha, I quite like how hes turned out, no red on him to keep him slightly distinct from the actual Farrow members of the Thornfall Alliance!

The feat is a lot easier to manage now, not as much of a threat extension but still decent.

Warmachine: Athanor Locke

 Another Crucible Guard model today and I wanted to try the scheme out on a Warcaster so here is Aurum Athanor Locke:

It came out quite well I think so will be able to crack on with other infantry models as time allows.

Sythopian Wars: Asylumist Butchers

Some heavy infantry support guys for the Asylumists with these Butchers:

Hopefully there isn't too long a wait till the Confederation and Host get their big hitters with The Arsenal and The Mutalysk!

Sythopian Wars: Host N-Force

Ive picked up the latest releases for Sythopian Wars / Voidsiege and here are the first of them painted:

The N-Force's are the the 5 Threat starter forces for the game and The Host are the third faction released.... previews have been shown before of other units such as flying troops and a massive support beast.

Warmachine: Toro Toro

 Free time last night to get a second Toro painted up:

I shall be working through these as time allows, and completing what i have before getting the extra expansion sets.

Warmachine: Gunboar!

 My gunboar arrived! On the day its announced that March's digital release is Dr Arkadius and the three lights haha.

I had sold out of the game by the time the new lights and the updated gunboar were released so its still nice to have a go painting one.

It completes my 50pts journeyman forces for March so there's no stress on getting the new lot completed ASAP.

Warmachine: Crucible Guard Toro

Back from hols and back painting! Whilst I wait for more piggies to be released im getting on with my Crucible Guard:

First time using PP Eldritch Green, it was really really bright before washing haha.

Warmachine: Farrow Brigands

 After what seems like an age I have finished these two units of Farrow Brigands:

The new Brigand sculpts are far ahead of the older metal ones, and show up the Warlord who came out in late mk2.

Can't wait to get them on the board again!

Warmachine: Lytersis

 The last of January's piggy goodness is now completed:

Lytersis is Midas's prized creation, a Great Hog with bonegrinder abilities hehe! A fantastic model and a fine addition to the Thornfall Alliance roster.

Now begins the mountain of Brigands to print for February!

Warmachine: Midas and Targ

 Another Warlock in Midas, and the faithful Farrow assistant in Targ:

Targ has always been a staple of my forces of yesteryear so its good to get him back painted, and Midas looks as solid as ever so I shall look forward to playing some games with him in charge soon.

Warmachine: Razorboars

 A veritable herd of little piggies for my Thornfall Alliance with these six Razorboars:

You can field eight of these hehe, but only six fit on the build plate at once so six is what i shall have!

Warmachine: Farrow Bonegrinders

 Finally some brush time! Two units of Bonegrinders added to my forces... much changed since the last time I used them as they are now a pure support unit rather than a weird magic missile unit!
