Blood Bowl: Nurgle Team Commission

Recently i was asked to painted up this Nurgle Team ahead of an upcoming tourney, I love painting Nurgle stuff so was straight on it after the Warmaster stuff and completed it this evening:

Its a full squad with a Beast, 4 Warriors, 4 Pestigors and 8 Rotters. Nurgle Teams are hilarious on the pitch and i had a lot of fun using my own team a few years back at some events.

These are a controversial addition to the blood bowl world; not endorsed by the NAF but included in an official GW computer game... i couldnt for now use them at NAF sanctioned events but since the last one of those i went to was 4 years ago thats not really effecting me!

This has certainly been an interesting project, hampered slightly by the disco early 90's gw figures... with a more modern team I think I could have achieved much better results hohum.

I tried to get them to look like the black suited agents a la Phil Coulson, but alas my skills with black weren't up to it so I settled on something similar to the training get up the wear in Agents of Shield and Winter Warrior.


Already on the paint table are the four blitzers to be done as the other main avengers hehe

The job is for a Human team based on the main Avengers characters so Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and Thor will be appearing along side a host of SHIELD Agents haha

Bunkerbowl Day 2

Game 4: 3-1 loss vs Lizardmen


I was feeling confident as the day started, but i was draw to face Tom Pugh and his mighty lizardmen team... i was doing ok till he had an epic turn of destiny and he killed 3 of my guys and knocked out another!!!!! It was an uphill struggle from then on and couldnt keep them out :-(





Game 5: 1-1 Draw vs Necromantics


This was a great fun game, lots of end to end stuff and a lot of knocked out zombies! I had the numbers and was able to grind out the draw and go up the rankings.



Game 6: 1-0 Win vs Orcs

Last game of the tourney was against Luke, one of my best mates, and a good coach. I ground out a turn 6 TD then basically held on wth tight defence for the next 10 so i could sneak the 1-0 ftw!



I only had a few secs to check the results before having to shoot home but i think i came 13th out  of 26th, with 2/3/1 so im happy with that for a wkends work hehe

Bunkerbowl Day 1

Day 1 is over... and im doing alright!

Game 1: 3-0 win vs Undead

First game against my mate H-Bomb and his Undead, i had the run of the dice in this game battered a few players off the pitch and my boys romped ahead in the first half, then consolidated in the second. All in all a comfortable win that put me on table 1!



Game 2: 1-1 draw vs Chaos Pact

Top table meant top opposition in the form of Besters! He won the Bunker Bowl 2yrs a go so i has well happy with the draw, a very tough game that i could have won with a little more luck :-D



Game 3: 1-1 draw vs Underworld

Another game against a fellow bunkerite in the form of my good mate Paul. Paul is a great player no matter what team he uses so i knew i was in for another toughy! A third kickass game in a row, i needed an equaliser on the 16th turn  to keep me in a good position at the close of play!

The Bunker Bowl is upon us again!

Although i had said i was going to use my Chaos team for the whole year, i have broken that vow and decided to use my old Dwarf team, The Kadr Idrys Bulldogs, and try and win some games for a change hehe.

They are quite a famous team, having been featured on Mantics website a few times as they are converted from their dwarf range from kings of war.

The Dice say noooooooo!

Played a blood bowl game last night against my mate Pauls chaos team in our bunker league... and as you can guess by the title it didnt go well!

Lost 3-0, got battered about the pitch, the dice were fighting me from before the kick off :-D


Blood Bowl she is a fickle mistress, when the dice say no... the say NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Updates

Been away from the paint station for a bit, ive had lots of stuff to do with the kids and i attended the RIOTBOWL on the 18/19th with the Devastation.... came 5th! 2/1/2 were my results, cracking event hosted by the RIOTS club in romford. Its gonna be a bigger field next year but hopefully i can repeat the performance.

In other news, 6th ed 40k is out.... i'll pass on that thank you!

Work on the Daikinee will be starting up this week as what free hobby time ive had has been playing warmachine, 2 wins out of 3 with Lord Carver and the pigz are on a roll hahahaha

My Cheerleader is done, its the Domina of Torment from Avatars of War hehe

Thats probably it till the new 40k box set is released, im planning on using some of the cultists in it for the marauders/rotters. If they are lame, i'll make up some wfb chaos marauders, my usual choice for bbowl players, but im happy to wait for now.

Crunched!

Bit of a delay, been very busy with work this week since coming back from the crunch... stupid managers and their stupid faces!

First outings with chaos was less than succesful, 2 wins and 4 defeats... mostly crushing defeats against flair teams :-(

Not to be disheartened tho its a cracking tourney run by my mate rodders of the NAF and sudbury wargamers (www.sadwc.co.uk), will be continuing to attend with the Bunker crew for the forceable future!

Got 2 more tournies and the league to do... its gonna be a long league hehe

The Carrot Crunch is upon us, this time tomorrow the first 3 games will be done and hopefully Lashor Devastation will have been victorious... but i doubt it!
