Pulp City: Supreme Edition Kickstarter... last few days

The guys over at Pulp Monsters are having an amazingly successful kickstarter campaign to fund a new rulebook, new starter sets and a new faction. Its in its last few days so theres still time to pledge and grab a great deal on some awesome minis!

That's a lot of toys for only a $90 pledge people! I have pledged on the game (bit higher than $90 haha) so back end of this year and early next I will be featuring a long run of Pulp City paint jobs to rival that of pulpcitizen

Spotlight: Slaughterball!

There are a number of great games currently on kickstarter, all looking at grabbing our precious toys funds! In this post im going to talk about one of the smaller projects... Slaughterball, a crazy near future brutal sports board game from Frog the What Games.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/frogthewhatgames/slaughterball/

To a casual observer like myself, the closest analogy i can give this game is Mutant League haha, this is a good thing as I love Mutant League! This helps Slaughterball stand apart from the other sports based games on the market as it has a unique setting and can build its own fluff and lore, and wont borrow from existing stereotypes.

The game mechanics seem simple enough; easy to learn but difficult to master... just the way we like them. Team rosters are made up of 4 types of players:

Butchers - Big smashy players!
Razors - Glamorous 4 armed scorers
Cleavers - Smart utility players
Slashers - Devious assassin types

Each team comprises an equal number of positional players to maintain balance and parity, and rather uniquely they are mounted on different shaped bases so they will stand out from other friendlies if you are playing straight out of the box unpainted (Shame on you!)

Erik, the Lead Designer of Slaughterball has posted up a quickstart version of the rules for public review. At 33 pages its not a complete work, but enough for you to get a feel for the game and try out some of the plays.

Have a good browse of the kickstarter page and pledge on!!!!

Hail Caesar Celts Commission: Getting there!

This is the last of the big Celt units, only the Chariots remain yeah!

Once the Chariots are completed I will be able to do the 40 Dacians and finish this commission. From there I might get one or two of my own lead pile done before the next commission begins; more Covenant ships and land forces haha

Hail Caesar Celts Commission: Back in the Grove!

After that short interlude of stunties im back on the Celts. I finished these bar the basing on Wednesday but poxy work has dealt me a crappy hand for the week and only now have I had the time to finish them off... too many 14hr+ days and nights is a killer on your brush time haha:

There is another 32 strong unit of Celts, 6 Chariots with some out riders and 40 Dacian troops left to go in this project so hopefully I can get them done for the end of February :-D
