Darklands: Drune Death-Brute

Hello!

Had a couple of weeks off to get married and our honeymoon haha, but now we are back home and all the washing is done so im back on the painting!

The Death-Brute is a character version of the Brute unit I painted up last year, he will get fielded in due course but I will be starting with the human warlords as they are more skilled fighters hehe.

 

 

Im working through all my remainder at the same time so a big update should be forthcoming soon!



Darklands: Drune Hounds

Just a small update today, I am chain painting all the remaining minis for this project but the hounds were a nice quick job so I got them done last Monday but have only now had a chance to base them:

I've built and undercoated the last 17 Ysians that I have, I really hope to have them all painted before my wedding in a couple of weeks so I can crack on with my Deep Wars and Shadowsea goodies that arrived a few weeks ago :-D

Darklands: Drune Bone Aberrant

Continuing the theme of gribby monsters is Torku, The Bone Aberrant:

 

 

She/it is kind of the female counterpart for the Meat Hulk! Its even more grim from behind but im not gonna post up a pic from that view.

My last remaining big monster is the Mantichora, which i'll get on with after painting the next batch of characters up over the next day or so.

The Meat Hulk kit is infamous in Darklands for the ahem, wang attachment....  it comes with the option for either a nub or a full on rager!

Not my best by any stretch, and they look like Lion-O from from the old skool thuder cats but they are serviceable so its all good!

Darklands Updates

Two big things today:

Darklands second kickstarter went live a couple of days ago: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mierceminiatures/darklands-first-edition, this is to fund the full colour hard back rulebook for the game... achieved in 55 minutes! The first round of characters and the concept artbook have already passed so its all good from now on haha


Second is the rest of my toys from the first kickstarter have arrived and I've begun the construction process hehe:

Darklands update

We are apparently entering the last few days of availability for ordering extras for the darklands kickstarter from back in February.  Ive taken the option to add a brute starter set, some more foot drunes and a could of the medium sized mosters to my force... my sparing partner Erik has invested in a Jotun so I needed the heavy support!

Mierce have released a few teaser details of a 2nd kickstarter to fund a full hardback rulebook and the next wave of troops for the existing and additional factions... fingers and toes are crossed for some cavalry similar to the mounted kernuor model!
Following on from my undead bbowl commission, I have been asked to paint up a Lizardman team in early september for a friend. That will probably be the last I do this year, with a shedload of darklands stuff to paint up before the wargods arrive,  its going to be a very busy run in for the end of the year, but thats just how I like it.

Hopefully I'll actually get some games in next year haha
