Conspiracy of the Cult: Full Faction!

These are the last three Cult of Yurei minis I needed to get my second full faction after the Ito (Still have their last couple of releases to paint up!), and I think they are some of my favourite's yet:

Just a couple of Ito snakes to go on Bushido and im back up to date. The next faction, the Tengu Descension is out very soon as is the Rise of the Kage board game... I have that and the metal ninjas coming so late summer will be a great time for painting my favourite range!



Conspiracy of the Cult: Yama Uba

Another quick Bushido update for my Cult force, this is Yama Uba:

 

She is a demon that stalks the battlefield disguised as an innocent Geisha until your ready to strike! When the reveals herself the gloves really come off, one of her abilities is that she can copy abilities of models in b2b with her haha.

With her, Penanggalan and Ikiryo that's a solid core of dangerous ladies, and throw in Harionago, kairai villager (Dead lady) and Taka (Little girl) you can make a whole 50 rice force with a couple of special cards... One to try in the eternal struggle against Sherwins STS me thinks.

Its mad that its been four months since I painted a bushido model haha, good to be busy tho and when I got a spare hour or so yesterday I painted up these two:

Ive started to go back thru the older releases for the Cult of Yurei to fill out my collection:

This is Yugio, the latest release for the Cult of Yurei faction in Bushido:

 

 

 

The model is brilliant and a joy to paint, so detailed and full of character! He's also pretty handy in the game too, able to reduce the cost of friendly kii feats and disrupt the enemies ability to generate kii all together haha.

Conspiracy of the Cult: Kairai Milita

Second model for the day, another Kairai Militia for my Cult of Yurei. I traded a starter set with a mate who wasn't going to do anything with them as he wanted to concentrate on his Silvermoons for now. I can make use of the zombies from the set as there are two profiles on each of the Kairai cards, the extra Kato and Ikiryo I have passed on to another mate for creating the design for my upcoming Cephalyx dice for warmachine.

Cult of Yurei: Nezumi and Friends

I can't believe its been 3 months since I've painted any bushido models! This is Nezumi and his rat Swarms for my Cult of Yurei warband, i'll be busting them out in our Way of the Warrior league at the bunker in a week or so:

This bad boy completes my current line up of Cult models, I have a few more on order but may well have to go "Full Faction" like I have with the Ito as I really like this range and they suit my painting style to a tee!

Conspiracy of the Cult: Kairai Farmer

Next up is the Kairai Farmer:

 

 

 

This is one of the basic zombies for the Cult forces, pretty rubbish at fighting and slow as hell, but with a couple of the other Cult models like Kato and Gengo buffing them up they become unkillable tarpit monsters, capable of delaying and wearing down even the mightiest samurai!



Conspiracy of the Cult: Araka

Work is complete on Araka:

 

 

 

 

 

Araka is a Kairai Oni, a zombie raised by Kato to fight for the Cult! He is one of the few beatsticks in the faction and really stands out on the table, especially against his brother Oni when fighting a Savage Wave force.

 

 

Next up will be some of the human Kairai, they are great sculpts and very quick to get done haha
