Age of Sigmar and New Years Day!

Evening!

Missed out on my yearly look back as i was crippled with a migraine on Sunday, and we went to visit friends on Monday... still kept tradition of crashing out well before midnight tho haha.

Work has played a massive role in my painting this year, only 764 completed, my lowest since 2013, and its set to continue that way for the foreseeable future. This has lead me to take the difficult decision to close my commission service permanently... All requests will be passed on to a good friend of mine who has recently started up full time and is eager for work.

That being said i have managed to get these finished today to start my year rolling:

Last years resolution was a simple one: Decrease the lead mountain!

It sat at 676 on 1st of January 2018... and now sits at 383 whoop whoop, nearly halved it haha.

This year i think i will endeavor to try and half it again down to <200, and also to try and self fund my hobby addiction, starting with a big clear out of projects im never actually going to get started.

Age of Sigmar: Shar'Tor the Executioner

One more down today; Shar'Tor the Executioner:

This is one big fat cow dwarf haha, and when selected as general he makes bull centaur units battleline!

Age of Sigmar: Bull Centaur Renders

Got my second unit of these bad boys finished off tonight:

With another unit and Shar'tor to go, i might well try an execution herd haha

Age of Sigmar: Magma Cannon!

Seems ages since i painted something, and here is the latest bit for my force:

Not much to go on these now and i have a second unit of Renders built and sprayed drying ready to start up hehe.

Age of Sigmar: Battle Standard and Daemonsmiths

Busy busy busy!

Started these the day of my last blog entry and only just finished them today haha:

The end is nigh on this project now!

Age of Sigmar: Legion of Azgorh Fireglaives

My much needed bus mans holiday is over so i can get back to the painting! Starting off with this last unit of ten Fireglaives for my growing army:

Im closing in on completing this force now; just six more centaurs, four infantry characters, Shar'tor the Executioner and a second Magma Cannon to go!

Age of Sigmar: Deathshrieker Rocket Battery

Continuing with the Legion of Azgorh stuff and next up is my Deathshrieker:

Not quite as reliable as the Magma Cannons but potentially able to do much more damage if the dice gods favour you haha!

Age of Sigmar: Drazhoath the Ashen

Back on the Legion train with the big cheese himself:

Drazhoath the Ashen is the Commander of the Legion of Azgorh in the fluff; a bag ass sorcerer on the monstrous Bull Taurus Cinderbreath!

I'm trying to get as much as possible painted for a game at Warhammer World against the Dispossessed, with work commitments what they are i hope to be able to get at least one more thing painted up by Friday evening, most likely a Deathshrieker Rocket Launcher!

Age of Sigmar: K'daai Fireborn

Back withe the Chaos Dwarves and today its these guys:

Six K'daai Fireborn, fire daemons that fill a sort of Ogre roll in the army. I will probably run them as one unit of six for more staying power hehe,

Age of Sigmar: Iron Daemon!

Evil Thomas is done haha:

Whilst it looks all cool now this was one of the worst models to build i have ever done hehe, will not be getting a second one!

Age of Sigmar: Moar Fireglaives

Yep im now matchplay compliant for a 2000pt force:

That's enough of the basic dudes for a while, time to crank out some of those infamous cannons haha

Age of Sigmar: Bull Centaur Renders

As said next up for the army is my first unit of Bull Centaur Renders!

These boys are huge! They really tower over the infantry haha, and i have another unit of them to get done soon. Next step is to make my army match play legal for 2000pts so i will be painting up ten more Fireglaives before starting on all the cool cannons.

Age of Sigmar: Fireglaives

My first unit of Fireglaives are finished and ready for war:

I have three units of 10 of these guys to get painted up so will need to do at least one more to fulfill the legal battle line quantity for 2000pts of Match play.

Bull Centaurs next tho!

Age of Sigmar: Bull Centaur Taur'ruk and Daemonsmith

Ploughing on with this force now; here are my General and first Wizard done and dusted...

Bull Centaur Taur'ruk

Daemonsmith

I'm going to be alternating between units and single pieces to break up the monotony a little, so next up will be some Fireglaives

Age of Sigmar: Rise of The Legion of Azgorh!!!!

Yes! After many many months of saving cash, painting commissions and selling off older projects i am finally able to start up a true hobby dream; A full army of Forgeworld's Legion of Azgorh Chaos Dwarves!

I've been amassing them slowly over time and now with a deadline for a mates stag weekend of gaming at Warhammer World i have the time and impetus to get them table ready. Im building at painting this army in manageable chunks and this is what i have completed so far:

30 Infernal Guard Ironsworn

Infernal Guard Castellan

I figured i would start with the biggest unit in the force, the 30 Ironsworn, and then use the spare champion model from the command pack as a Castellan.

Next up will be a couple more heroes with a Bull Centaur Taur'uk (My General) and a Daemonsmith wizard.
