Marvel Crisis Protocol : The Kingpin

 With concentrating on bigger projects this year im having a break from getting the Nurgle finished to paint up a few palette cleansers, starting with a big of a conversion on Kingpin:

A bit of greemstuff to make some hair, and a change of suit colour and we have a recent loser of the US presidential race haha, Trump-Pin is ready to take power on the mean streets of New York!

I much prefer the models for these over the Avengers guys and i think it shows in the painting. We had a great day of gaming last Sunday to make up for an AoS tournament being cancelled and i've ordered a few more models that will hopefully be here soon! 

Marvel Crisis Protocol: "Dark" Avengers Assemble!

 Finally getting some of my core set painted that's sat still wrapped since February haha!

I wanted to do these a little different so settled on Dark Avenger versions of everyone:

These were pretty fun to do something different with, will be starting my five Cabal models soon too.

Knight Models: Spider Man & Wonder Woman

I've painted up a couple of Knight Models long out of production Spider Man and Wonder Woman models for wedding gifts for some friends of mine, we are off to their wedding this coming weekend and these are their favourite comic book characters:

Knight Models: Dark Avengers and Venom

To mix things up a bit yesterday i painted some of my large stack of Marvel minis:

This five combined with the Dark Avengers Team Card will get me going with a 50pt force to play my mates again!

Marvel Proxies: Scarlet Witch and Warmachine

Two iconic characters from the Avengers; one got a leaked card but no model, the other (Warmachine) had neither, but a fan created card exists on the custom facebook group that looks usable and balanced enough:

This movie version of Scarlet Witch is Jinx from Hasslefree Miniatures modern adventurers series, she is much smaller than a regular 35mm Knight model but she can work as a teenager easy enough.

Warmachine is based off an Infinity Haqquislam Azra'il model with a Hasslefree mini gun attached to the shoulder. The head is from a spare Iron Patriot i have from a dark avengers set i picked up for conversion purposes.

Knight Models: Finally painting some Marvel!

As on saturday, i managed to paint these two Marvel minis in between drying coats on my next ten Bloodreavers:

Ant Man

Daken

Ant Man isn't the best, he is a conversion from a spare cyclops and a spare Star Lord head i had planned, unfortunately the scale isn't quite right with the head being a touch too small... one day i will make another with Reverse Flash's body as that looks a better fit.

Daken is Wolverine's son, and so simply painting the existing Wolverine model in the apporopriate scheme was an easy fix haha.

Knight Models: More DC Supers

Whilst im tackling 20 Bloodreavers i have managed to get five more DC Universe superheroes painted up haha:

I really enjoy painting the iconic superhero models now, they are up there with Wasteman and Guildball as my favourite lines i reckon!

I have my big Marvel Universe project to start after i have painted up enough Khorne to use at some tournaments... i cant wait!

Knight Models: Killer Frost

A quick paint up of Killer Frost as i needed the 50 levels of Injustice League ready for wednesday as im demoing the game to a couple of people:

Knight Models: Harley Quinn

Finished this today, really tried to get her to look like the Suicide Squad movie Harley!

Just waiting on Killer Frost to arrive and i can use 50 Lvls of Injustice League in my games :-D

April starts with a bang!

After a particularly savage week at work i was able to get back on the painting yesterday and completed all of these:

Yep a proper mixed bag! Sinestro is part of my Injustice League team for the DC Universe game, and i have a Harley Quinn model to finish off today to go with it. The Thanatar is the latest addition to my 30K Mechanicum army, much quicker to paint than the two squads of infantry i still have to do!

The Empire Flagellants are the first part of some reinforcements to the the Warmaster Empire army commission i have painted for my existing client.

Hopefully next week will be a tad easier so i can get so more done in the week!

Knight Models: Lex Luthor and Black Adam

I'm branching out into the super villain side of the DC Universe game with these next two models painted today:

Luthor is solid at Lvl 11 but will be overcosted unless your really facing superman i think, and Black Adam joins Sups/Sentry/Hulk/Thanos in the God level characters at 16 haha. I have Sinestro coming soon which will let me field 40 levels of these guys in some games.

If you've not tried this game i heartily recommend it; its not as tactical or precise as say Guildball but perhaps it is more fun...

Swamp Thing was a birthday present from one of my twins, she was very happy to see i had painted him up! These will get there first run out on wednesday against some Avengers at the club. 

Knight Models: Justice League!

A few of the club guys started playing the Marvel game when it was released but nothing really jumped out at me to start, and i have painted a number of the minis for others so i held fast and watched it grow.

Fast forward to a month or so ago and the DC Trinity box was announced and the Knight Models released the DC version of the game, along with rules for nearly thirty of the minis from the street level Batman game and i was in!


Here are the eight minis i have for the Justice League faction so far:

Initially im going to stick with the good side of the Justice League, and will add to my force in due course but i want to get a few more games in with these before picking up more.
