Finished off some long range punch for my army with this Heavy Support Squad:
Really pleased how these guys turned out, and also how the force is coming together now. I had the twin fails of running out of primer and no post today so have build ten terminators rather than my Exodus conversion haha.
Finished these guys last night but needed the inks to dry before basing!
That's both my Kill Teams finished so its on to the Heavy Support Squad next, and when some bits from ebay arrive the hated sword praetor can become Exodus!
Finished up my first Headhunter Kill Team today:
I used a squad of the beakies from the big box (Got another team on the go!) with some Kromlech parts to give them different bolters and a multi melta for that sweet infiltrating justice haha.
I'm really enjoying painting these Alpha legion models up, they all look rather striking on my display shelf... I think i have around 1100pts painted up so far!
Completed my Contemptor from the box today:
I went with a fairly standard build of Autocannons and Havoc Launcher, but added a Plasma Blaster to the fist for a bit of cheeky marine killing power hehe.
A quick conversion on the axe guy the HH box and a far more suitable model emerged!
With the Pike and Shotte finished off i can now hit the Alpha Legion for a while to try and get a playable force ASAP! Here's my second Tactical Squad ready for action:
Next up will be a Praetor and the Contemptor for a bit of variety i think!
I've rounded out my army with some pieces of artillery in the form a cannon battery and a mortar:
That's my Army of Montrose completed to 500pts and ready to get some games in!
Alternating projects keeps things fresh but also makes things a bit slower, I'm so close to the end of this Montrose army that I'm just going to smash out the last couple of bits now that these Highlanders are finished:
Just the artillery sections to complete now whoop!
First of the big box models to be worked on are these tactical marines:
I much prefer how the blue/green looks on these than the MK3s i painted earlier, I only did one coat of the contrast on these so will continue like that for the rest.
