Battletech: Completing my first company

I recently picked up a couple of 3d prints of mechs off ebay to take me to twelve and a fieldable company to use in Alpha Strike:

The Zeus is an iconic House Steiner mech which seemed appropriate as my force is from the Lyran half of the Federated Commonwealth, and everyone loves a big old Atlas assault mech hehe

Kings of War: Ratkin Clawshots and Warlock

I've not had masses of time spare today but still got another couple of units finished for my growing swarm:

The Clawshots are the equivalent of Jezzails from the wfb Skaven range, i made mine with veer-myn infantry using only the larger guns from the sprues then added a front rank of shields in the form of some upturned warpath bases haha.

The Warlock is the Piper model that came with the Vermintides from last week, i have another two of him that i may at some point paint up into more warlocks or convert into other characters.

Kings of War: Ratkin Brood Mother and Nightmares

Yesterday was the first solid day of painting i've had in weeks!


I managed to get a large portion of the force completed to a rough and ready level, nothing to be proud of but its enough for now:

I will flock all the bases at the end of the project to save glue! I have also ordered a few packs of the Veermyn Piper to make up some swarms and some warlocks so i may well drop one of these Nightmare hordes for more bodies as it were.

Kings of War: Ratkin Army Project

Hello 2020!

These last few weeks i have been busily building up a usable force for a Kings of War tourney in early February... and now im ready to start painting at last.

A rather elite army with a Brood Mother and Warlock as my heroes, two hordes of Nightmares, a Tunnel Runner regiment and a troop of Clawshots.

I dont expect to do massively well but it will be nice to get some games in with an old favourite like kings of war again hehe.
