Miniature Painting Service and Hobby Blog
So this is the start of one of my two big historical based gaming projects for the year, the War of the Triple Alliance! First unit of Paraguayans that will be regular infantry in the game:
First completed project of the year... Till i get round to sorting out the sails with transfers or paper sails hehe:
Khorne Death Galleys
At some point i will also get round to adding the rest of the Nurgle and Tzeentch options, but for now I'm happy with the fleet as is and i want to get some games in with it.
Happy New Years people!
Hopefully this year will see more painting and blog content from me, I've struggled with free time a lot this year as I've taken on more stuff from work and ongoing things at home.
I managed to paint 636 models in 2022, covering a lot of Baratheon's, Alpha Legion, Star Wars, Warcaster, Flames of War and of course Pike and Shotte.
Pike and Shotte was the big project of the year and a thoroughly enjoyable one it was too, I've had a few games of it in the back end of the year and its such a fun system to play.
I plan to continue on the historical train in 2023 by finally starting some South American gaming in the form of armies for the War of the Triple Alliance using The Men Who Would Be Kings rules from Osprey and Perry Miniatures fantastic metals... The Paraguayans are on order already haha.
My second big project for the year is an army of Medieval Spanish for my friends new project On Bloody Ground, a generic ranks and flank ruleset with period specific plug in modules for different eras such as Vikings and The Reconquista!
Some more star wars and man o war will also be appearing, and continuations of existing Baratheon and MoTU projects as and when releases occur.
Rounding out a year of painting with my last Baratheon models, a second unit of Rhllor Queens Men:
Like the lightbringers i did a few weeks ago i wanted them to start apart on the board but also link in with the rest of the predominantly yellow Stannis side of the army.
Now to write some double Queens men lists to terrorize the local tables with haha!
The Rainbow Guard are here!
Robar Royce, Bryce Caron, Emmon Cuy and Guyard Morrigen
I managed to snag Polish copies of Heroes 3 and 4 recently, and started on the Stannis side models first:
Bryen Farring and Dale Seaworth
Not sure how much use ill get from Bryen Farring and Dale Seaworth, or Justin Massey Commander but the other models work well enough in their in-game roles!
Trying to get through more Baratheons before my Manowar models finally(!) arrived haha, starting with this second unit of R'hllor Lightbringers for the Stannis side:
This unit has yellow bows rather than metal to easily differentiate the pair on the board!
