Black Powder: Portuguese Cacadores

 My second Cacadores Battalion for the army, the illustrious 6th!

I painted these in one day haha, the Cacadore uniform is so much easier and quicker to do than the regular line troops! Only a Brigade Commander and my General to go now whoop!

Black Powder: American Civil War Epic Battles Preview

 Happy Christmas peeps, hope you are all as stuffed as me haha! I got some free time on boxing day and today to get this sprue of Warlord Games new epic battles American Civil War models painted up to see what its all about:

The sprue came free with this months Wargames Illustrated, a preview ahead of the full release in late January I believe.

I painted mine up as Confederates but its the same sprue for both them and Unionists so if i see another copy about in shops I may get one to paint up as the Yankees! The sprue is crammed full of models, 106 to be precise... the box game will have 24 of them!!! Reminds me a great deal of the old Epic Space Marine game with its mountain of identical marine/rhino/land raider sprues.

The models are nice to paint, sufficiently detailed for the job and being plastic very lightweight for ease of transport for a massive army.  

Age of Sigmar: Hellstriders of Slaanesh

Following on from the Lord of Pain I did a couple of weeks ago I have decided that the new Slaanesh mortal forces (Sybarites) will be my next AoS army.

Here's the first unit ready to go in 10 Hellstriders:

I was never a fan of how these have been painted in all the official art and schemes, but when GW released the preview of the Sybarite models from the warcry book they showed a photo of these painted up more like knights and that struck a cord. 

Its pretty much how i did the Lord of Pain but simplified the clothing as there is even less on these than him haha.

 Time to start on the backlog of nurgle models that have been sat around since the summer haha

Lord of the Rings: Lords of Umbar

 I picked these up almost a year ago i think, full of intentions to start a Corsairs of Umbar force, but like many plans it failed to materialize hehe:

These three heroes will give me a great start to this force in the new year with a box or two of warriors and a couple of packs of the arbalester's i should be done quite quickly.

Again another cracking model but having painted up one Kharadon now i dont have the wish to paint an entire force of them.

Age of Sigmar: Lord of Pain

Continuing with painting a few random models, here is a Lord of Pain from the upcoming Sybarites of Slaanesh, the new range of mortals for the Slaanesh factions in Age of Sigmar:

As soon as this model was previewed i knew i had to get one, i think its fantastic! I had a scheme in mind that i wanted to try out to see if it were viable for a whole army or not... and i think it is, the secret is basecoats, a decent coverage of carroburg crimson wash then a terminatus stone drybrush, taking about 45mins not with drying time.

Maybe a force of these then next haha

Marvel Crisis Protocol : The Kingpin

 With concentrating on bigger projects this year im having a break from getting the Nurgle finished to paint up a few palette cleansers, starting with a big of a conversion on Kingpin:

A bit of greemstuff to make some hair, and a change of suit colour and we have a recent loser of the US presidential race haha, Trump-Pin is ready to take power on the mean streets of New York!
