Age of Sigmar: Khorne Heroes

Two more Khorne Heroes completed today, i've added an Aspiring Deathbringer and a Bloodsecrator to my growing force:

The Aspiring Deathbringer (Top Photo) is a great buffing character with an awesome command ability of +1 attack to Khorne Mortal units within 3 inches of him... previously he would have to be your general to use it but now he can stay safe and that ability be activated through one Blood Tithe point hehe.

The Bloodsecrator is a key buff hero from the sigmar starter box, that big banner creates an aura of 18 inches around him that grants an extra attack to Khorne units within range, making him a staple of most lists!

Age of Sigmar: Khorgorath

Next up for me is a Khorgorath from the starter box:

These received a major boost in the new book with those claws now doing two damage rather than one! They also went up in points from 80 to 100, but having twice the melee output as before its quite acceptable haha.

I have another one on route from ebay, and possibly gonna pick up a couple more from a mate so will need to try out some variant schemes to separate the units of them.

Age of Sigmar: Bloodstoker

Completed Mr Whippy this afternoon:

Bloodstoker's are great support characters, they whip a friendly unit within 12 inches and it gets to reroll 1s to wound and add 3 to any run or charge rolls! That reroll to wound isnt melee dependant either so you can sit him behind a unit of Skull Cannons and reroll those important wound fails haha.

Age of Sigmar: Blood Warriors II

Here's the second half of the Blood Warriors unit completed:

For this half i decided to paint the bronze before the red to see if it worked out any easier and quicker... It was as i could be messier and more liberal with the bronze rather than have to pick it out.

I plan on adding either a 2nd start collecting Bloodbound or that Slaughterstorm box to my force to enable me to field a unit of 6 Skullcrushers so i will at some point have another 10 man unit of the Blood Warriors to do in this style.

Knight Models: Killer Frost

A quick paint up of Killer Frost as i needed the 50 levels of Injustice League ready for wednesday as im demoing the game to a couple of people:

Age of Sigmar: Blood Warriors

Finished the first half of a unit of Blood Warriors last night, these are more time consuming to do than the characters were haha:

The next five are WIP but i need to get one more DC model done for a demo game on wednesday before i complete them doh!

Age of Sigmar: Blades of Khorne

Well after that big post on the Kharadron Overlords you would be expecting me to start up them... but this book appeared too hehe.

I kept up with all the spoilers, digested the battle report and sadly came to the conclusion that whilst the Kharadron models are amazing, i dont think they will suit my play style as its a lot of dancing about and pure shooty with not enough smashing stuff in melee. I will still get the book and cards and may change my mind down the line but having signed up for a 2000pt tourney in July i need to concentrate on getting one force together and that is going to be Blades of Khorne.

Slaughter Priest

I'm purposely building and painting these in small stages so it doesn't become too daunting a task to complete. I managed to pick up a start collecting Khorne Bloodbound (Where the Slaughter Priest comes from), and also a whole slew of the characters from a mate looking to trim down his collection so i have a good start.
