Age of Sigmar: Fireglaives

My first unit of Fireglaives are finished and ready for war:

I have three units of 10 of these guys to get painted up so will need to do at least one more to fulfill the legal battle line quantity for 2000pts of Match play.

Age of Sigmar: Rise of The Legion of Azgorh!!!!

Yes! After many many months of saving cash, painting commissions and selling off older projects i am finally able to start up a true hobby dream; A full army of Forgeworld's Legion of Azgorh Chaos Dwarves!


I've been amassing them slowly over time and now with a deadline for a mates stag weekend of gaming at Warhammer World i have the time and impetus to get them table ready. Im building at painting this army in manageable chunks and this is what i have completed so far:

30 Infernal Guard Ironsworn

I figured i would start with the biggest unit in the force, the 30 Ironsworn, and then use the spare champion model from the command pack as a Castellan.

Next up will be a couple more heroes with a Bull Centaur Taur'uk (My General) and a Daemonsmith wizard.

Lord of the Rings: Hail to the (Goblin) King!

Basic but acceptable given how many of these buggers i need! This puts me at around 400pts painted up, i have another thirty six(!) Goblin Warriors to finish off but they will have to wait for now.

Wolsung! A first for me! I've been working on and off on these for the last few weeks as i wanted to show the complete project in one go:

Lord of the Rings: Berzerkers and Keeper of the Dungeons

I picked up three more Berzerkers after a mate said he was going to do a forgeworld order hehe, this takes me to twelve which is a good number to stop at! I have also added the Keeper of the Dungeons from the Dol Guldur list as a mid level hero... in between god level Azog/Bolg and the mediocre Captains:

This puts me at a tasty 1600pts of Legion painted up now... hopefully the War Bats and Catapult Troll will be a long soon! I am tempted to pick up the Necromancer and some Ringwraiths and use the force as a Dol Guldur one for a bit too.

Lord of the Rings: Deep down in Goblin Town!

So this project started on a whim, i saw the Goblin Town stuff from the old box set going cheap with a few mins to go on eBay so thought sod it, lets give it a cheeky bid and bam i won it haha, that gave me about 350pts for £15! I knew this would be a silly little game force so saw another box of the warriors that i could source quickly and they arrived the next day:

These only took a couple of hours to do so all going well i can field a fully painted Goblin Town force for my 500pt game on Wednesday :-D

Age of Sigmar: Beasts of Chaos Great Bray Shamans

You can tell that the kids of Britain are back to school with the lack of painting updates this week because of increased traffic making my days longer haha


I had these two on release back in 1994, and have had them again a few times over the years... now the previewed Beasts of Chaos Battletome is threatening to draw me in again!!!

I have a way of undercoating a lot of models that im really happy with now, using two different brown sprays to create a nice contrast... i use it on all the He-Man models too, and it would certainly speed up painting a force of these hmmmm
